What Can UV Do For You?

Enhance your custom printing solutions by adding a UV printer to your print studio.

UV printing is a form of digital printing that uses ultra-violet lights to dry or cure ink as it is printed. As the printer distributes ink on the surface of a material (called a “substrate”), specially designed UV lights follow close behind, curing – or drying – the ink instantly.

5 Advantages of UV Printing

1.  Instant Dry

UV Curing results in instantly dried print work. This means time savings of up to 50% for most customers who need to allow drying times between cutting, laminating or application. The UV drying also means crisper smoother lines and text areas as well as pure solid vibrant colours every single time!

2. No Lamination

UV cured printing means that you no longer need to remove prints from your printer to UV laminate them. Not only does this reduce time between printing and completion of your final product but it also eliminates the need to reprint wastage from incorrectly applied laminations.

3. Durability

UV Inks are more durable against the elements such as UV rays,  Water and Scratching.  They are also great for Alcohol based products such as sanitizer as the labels will not discolour or bleed when they come into contact with the substances inside.

4. Versatility

UV Printing is the most versatile print available. UV Inks can print on just about anything as the ink is deposited ontop of the substrate and cured – this includes Vinyl, PVC, Poster Papers and for flatbed models – Metal, Perspex, Wood or even Leather.  Not only is there versatility in the media range but UV ink can also provide versatility to your labels through the use of Layered printing and White ink.

5. Technology

The UCJV is at the “cutting” edge of technology as the first Print & Cut UV Printer. The technology in this model is outstanding with Day night image technology and even ID cut function to insure perfect cut precision everytime.
